June 15th - 17th - My weekend in Paris!

I went to Paris and spent 3 spectacular days in maybe my favourite city in the world. I went to France and spent 3 days in Paris back in 2012 with my school and this city is so stunning in the summer time. I was lucky enough to see Michelle whilst I was there, and get to do some fun adventures with her! Day one consisted of me almost missing catching my Eurostar train to Paris, and once I got there and found my way to Michelle's hotel, where she was letting me stay, I met up with my friend Katie, who I had seen a few weeks ago in London, and we hung out at the Musee D'Orsay, specifically to look at the Impressionist works. Edward Degas is my favourite painter, and getting to see his studies of the ballet dancers at the Paris Ballet made me quite emotional, I won't lie. Katie snapped a picture of me being super emotional. And then I headed back to the hotel to see Michelle!! We hadn't seen each other in about 3 years so getting to see her and catch up was amazing. June 4th - 13th - Another Au Pair Interlude

I've met a lot of amazing people here, from my host family, to new au pair friends, and everyone in between. Everyone has been lovely. And I spent this week before I went to Paris to just sit back and not stress out about seeing new things. I spent the week enjoying the people i've met and everything around me. I don't think I ever left Clapham, which might have been a first for me since arriving here. Charlie had playdates all week, and we spent some fun time watching movies and playing with birthday hats. A friend of mine celebrated her birthday so we all went out for drinks. And I took a day when the boys were at school and I found a new cafe that i'm head over heels in love with. This week was pretty calm, but still an amazing one. Next post is from Paris!!

May 31st - June 3rd - The Globe Theatre, and Friends in London

My friend Katie came to visit me in London between courses in Florence, Italy, and Paris, France! We went to a lot of museums, hung out at coffee shops, and saw a show at the Globe! We met in a year long Shakespeare class, so it was amazing getting to see a play we studied together up on that stage! Here are some pictures: Getting to see this one made me so happy Some Totally Candid shots of us at my favourite museum - Tate Modern Some shots of us at the globe theatre, featuring me who looks absolutely manic Katie with MI6 in the background Some beautiful pictures from Tate Britan

May 27th - 29th - My Weekend in Brighton

I took a trip down to Brighton to spend a weekend on the beach in late May. I wanted to spend some time on my own, doing nothing, as I had gone straight from school to moving into a new apartment in Halifax, to moving to London, and I wanted a weekend to myself. My Hostel, called Home Brighton, was lovely, and only a ten minute walk from the beach. I spent my weekend doing nothing, to be honest, but visiting cute cafes, reading on the beach, drinking on the beach (God bless no public drinking laws), and watching the sun rise and set. Here are some pictures from my beautiful weekend! The weather wasn't ideal when I first got there on the Saturday, but the Sunday and Monday were gorgeous! The beautiful pebble beach where I spent my weekend The donut statue! Fig and Goat cheese quiche and a latte from Coffee Tzar I ate far more ice cream than I care to admit A great brewery where I had supper one night, and some really good cider! The bea...
